Knoxville, TN (October 22, 2019) — The Provision CARES Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) that provides cancer awareness, education, wellness, research and assistance for cancer patients across East Tennessee, is pleased to announce Wendi Mullins has been named Development Director effective October 22, 2019.

Mrs. Mullins has over ten years of experience in the nonprofit industry, specifically serving organizations that are focused within the healthcare industry. A veteran of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard, she first started working for nonprofits in 2009 as the Associate Director of Development for the American Diabetes Association’s East Tennessee Chapter. Most recently, she was the Executive Director for A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee, where she successfully founded and launched the local affiliate and grew it into a thriving community resource. Wendi is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and has a multitude of nonprofit certifications, including Nonprofit & Board Leadership, Nonprofit Marketing and Fund Development from the Alliance for Better Nonprofit.
“The passion for helping patients across East Tennessee, in conjunction with her vast experience in growing nonprofits, made Wendi the ideal candidate for Development Director of the CARES Foundation,” said Nancy Howard, President of Provision CARES Foundation. “The goal of the Foundation is to provide free early detection testing to those who cannot afford these preventative measures and assist cancer patients across East Tennessee through providing them with grants for food, gas, and other ancillary costs. It is through the generous donations and support of East Tennessee that we can help thousands of families each year. With Wendi’s expertise, we will be able to grow the number of patients our Foundation serves each year.”
